Dublin 2-22 Clare 0-15:Dublin manager Anthony Daly watched his side get back on track in the All-Ireland SHC qualifiers against his native county Clare at Croke Park in convincing fashion this afternoon.

The Dubs were utterly dominant in the first half and took a seven point lead in at the break, with David O’Callaghan scoring six of his sides 14 points.

A commendable fightback from Clare early in the second half closed that gap to one point and threatened to derail the Dubs but goals from Peter Kelly and Simon Lambert quenched their hopes of turning it around and Daly's men ran out comfortable winners.

It was all square after 21 minutes with four points apiece but the Dubs took control of midfield for the rest of the half and it showed on the scoreboard.

Kelly and O'Callaghan's efforts, Dublin's seventh and eighth, were the pick of the bunch, and the latter added two more in a commanding five-minute cameo before ending the half with his sixth after some good work from Liam Rushe.

All their good work was nearly undone after the break, however, as Clare emerged playing as their opponents had in the first half. For a spell, they were first to everything, and ruthless too.

Colin Ryan, Darach Honan and Fergal Lynch all contributed before John Conlon closed the gap to one.

It all went sour for Clare when goalkeeper Donal Tuohy misjudged a high ball and Kelly capitalised to hit the net and increase the margin to four.

Three McCrabbe frees, and points from Maurice O'Brien and Lambert, were only met by a score from Clancy.

Dublin's passage was sealed when Lambert finished off with aplomb after some brilliant work from O'Callaghan on the right left Conor Cooney on the floor.

The win was closed out with points from Rushe, McCrabbe and Stephen Hiney.

Offaly 1-19 Limerick 1-13:Offaly ran out winners against Limerick in Tullamore to book a meeting with Tipperary in the third round of the SHC qualifiers.

Derek Molloy’s goal was the main reason for Offaly’s four-point lead at the break but Thomas O’Brien netted for Limerick to make it interesting.

Offaly, however, were more accurate in the closing stages and took their points to stretch the gap to six before the final whistle.
