THERESE Gilsenan is one hell of a good cook, which will be joyful news to the citizens of Tullamore, Co Offaly, for Ms Gilsenan has now opened up The Vine Kitchen in her brother Frank's bar - intriguingly called Frank's Bar - on High Street.
Ms Gilsenan brought great distinction to her last two outposts - Wineport Restaurant and Nanni Murph's, both in Glasson, Co Westmeath - and her wonderfully easy and enjoyable style is set to conquer Tullamore: grille smoked salmon bruschetta with horseradish cream; hot garlic and mozzarella bread; black pudding and smoked bacon bap; vegetable stir fry with hot ginger and lime sauce; steamed Galway mussels with wine, garlic and mint.
Real cooking, and not to be missed. Food is available from 10.30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, and from 10.30 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday.
