South Africa's Retief Goosen regained the lead after the third round of the Lancome Trophy today, but European Ryder Cup stars Sergio Garcia and Sweden’s Niclas Fasth remain in close contention.
Goosen carded a six-under-par 65 for a total of 200, one stroke ahead of Garcia and Fasth.
Gary Emerson of England was alone in fourth place on 202 with a quartet comprising Andrew Coltart of Scotland, Philip Price of Wales, Jean Hugo of South Africa and Anthony Wall of England a further shot back.
US Open champion Goosen had led by two strokes after the opening round, but slipped back with a level-par 71 yesterday.
He started the day three behind leader Mark Roe of England, but four birdies for an outward half of 32 put him level atop the leaderboard with Garcia and then two more at the 11th and 13th nudged him clear.
Garcia had the chance to draw level with Goosen, but bogeyed the par-three closing hole.
