Tempted by an autumn break based around exceptional food and wine? Why not drop in on the Salone del Gusto in Turin, organised by the Slow Food International Movement. This celebration of the best small-scale producers from all over the world will be held in Turin, 25-29 October, and is open to casual enthusiasts as well as professionals. Over 200 guided tastings, three halls with mouth-watering produce, 2,500 wines . . . and, around the same time, restaurants throughout Piedmont will host over 100 special dinners.
