The Government is to unveil a major new report aimed at improving the services for the victims of sexual abuse today.

Ministers of State Sean Power from Health and Frank Fahey from Justice will jointly announce Sexual Assault Treatment Services — A National Review.

The report is a comprehensive study of existing services for victims of sexual assault and sets out recommendations to improve available services to these victims.

The Rape Crisis Network, the DPP's office and the PSNI all contributed to the report, which reviews Sexual Assault Treatment Unit services, identifies gaps in adult services, and makes recommendations to address those gaps.
