George Graham has emerged as the leading contender for the Southampton managerial vacancy, newspapers in Britain reported today.
The reports claimed that Graham, the former manager of Tottenham Hotspur, Leeds United and Arsenal, was interviewed for the job on Thursday.
Southampton have been searching for a new manager since March when Glenn Hoddle left to take over at Spurs.
Graham's sacking as Spurs manager paved the way for Hoddle to arrive at White Hart Lane.
