Johannesburg - Without excluding a small fanatical Muslim organisation from the suspects for the bomb explosion in Cape Town which killed one person and wounded more than 25 others, police are investigating the possible involvement of People Against Gangsterism and Drugs or Pagad, Patrick Laurence writes.Investigations into the explosion at the Planet Hollywood restaurant suggest that it was caused by a pipe bomb similar to one used in an earlier attack on the police unit investigating Pagad's involvement in violence in and around Cape Town, an officer told the newspaper Business Day yesterday.
The FBI has sent a team to assist in the investigation.
