The former Leicester player saw a specialist in Leeds yesterday after feeling discomfort in the left side of his groin.

The club will give Guppy a week to see if the injury settles but should the problem persist he will then consult a Munich specialist.

Striker Shaun Maloney could yet play in the UEFA Cup semi-final against Boavista on Thursday despite leaving the pitch on crutches when playing for the under-21s on Monday. He suffered a minor injury to his Achilles tendon but is expected to be fit.
