Britain - Hollywood actress Daryl Hannah is to bring the role made famous by Marilyn Monroe in classic comedy The Seven Year Itch to the London stage, it was announced yesterday.
The 39-year-old star, whose most famous film role was as a mermaid in Splash, will star in a new West End version of the play on which the 1955 film was based. Like fellow US stars Nicole Kidman and Jerry Hall before her, Hannah could well appear naked in the finished production.
