The Tanaiste and Minister for Trade, Enterprise and Employment, Ms Harney, is leading one of the largest-ever Irish trade missions to Australia. Today in Sydney she will host a seminar aimed at encouraging financial companies to establish a presence in Dublin's Financial Services Centre. It is understood the chief executives of more than 100 companies will be present.
Representatives of 34 Irish companies are accompanying her during the eight-day trip, which began with political engagements on Tuesday.
