Golf – Honda Classic update:Pádraig Harrington was still unable to find top gear at the €4million Honda Classic at PGA National as the three-time major winner dropped further down the leaderboard on another frustrating day in Florida.

The Dubliner squeezed into the weekend with a pair of one over 71s but has failed to make any impact on day three at the Palm Beach Gardens resort.

Harrington opened with a bogey at the first and two more came midway through his round at the ninth and 10th. The 38-year-old recorded only his second birdie of the week at the 16th to get back to two over for the day.

He eventually signed for a 72 but was well off the pace on four over - not the sort of form he’s looking for with the Masters little over a month away.
