Golf:Germany's Martin Kaymer is back up to fifth in the world after his victory at the KLM Open in the Netherlands, while American Dustin Johnson is now at a career-high 12th following his victory at the BMW Championship in Chicago.
BMW runner-up Paul Casey - not chosen for Europe's Ryder Cup team - improves to seventh, while Pádraig Harrington, who was given a wild card by Colin Montgomerie, falls out of the top 20 (22nd) for the first time in over four years. The Dubliner started 2010 in fifth but has not won since winning his third major at the US PGA in 2008.
Rory McIlroy is the only Irish player inside the top 10 at eighth with US Open champion Graeme McDowell 14th. Although Tiger Woods missed out on securing a place at the Tour Championship, the final event of the FedEx cup series, he still holds onto the world number one slot with Phil Mickelson second and Lee Westwood third.
European Ryder Cup vice-captain Darren Clarke remains inside the top 100 at 98th.
