Racing: Jessica Harrington is keeping her fingers crossed The Last Hurrah makes the cut for next week's Guinness Galway Hurdle.

The Kildare handler admitted her other candidate Fantoche looks certain to miss out but The Last Hurrah, a dual winner over obstacles, could still make the final field for the competitive handicap.

"I don't think Fantoche will get a run but The Last Hurrah will line up if he gets into the race," Harrington said. "He has finished second on his last couple of starts on the Flat, including when second to a nice horse of Dermot Weld's (Profound Beauty) at the Curragh on Derby day.

"He hasn't run over hurdles since he was fifth in a good race at Killarney in May but he is in great form and has been third in this before so we are hoping for a big run."

Harrington is preparing a strong team for next week's Galway Festival, with Dreamy Gent set to return to fences after a spin on the level.

The six-year-old, a four-time winner over timber, got off the mark over the larger obstacles with an 18-length success at Ballinrobe last month and was a fine second at Killarney last week.

"Dreamy Gent is likely to go up for a novice chase, while Carpenter will run in a novice hurdle. They would probably be my best chances of the week," Harrington told At The Races.

"Zarinava won nicely at Tipperary last time and she will run in either the winners' bumper or a mile-and-a-half maiden."
