Ireland's Padraig Harrington will meet Canadian Mike Weir in the first round of the Cisco World Matchplay after the draw was announced today.

If successful the 31-year-old will face his Ryder Cup teammate Sergio Garcia in the second round once the invitational event gets under way at Wentworth on Thursday.

The defending champion Ian Woosnam, who defeated Harrington in last year's final, will play the winner between Michael Campbell or Nick Faldo.

Harrington also maintained his career high sixth position in this week's official world rankings despite taking a week off from competition.
