Harrington's win at the Dunhill Links Championship on Sunday, which earned him a prize of €818,662, helped move him from ninth to sixth, the Dubliner's highest-ever position.

Tiger Woods remains in top spot, with only Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els, Retief Goosen and Sergio Garcia above the Irishman.

Darren Clarke, however, has slipped out of the top 20 players in the world. The Tyrone man fell three places to 22nd. Ryder Cup hero Paul McGinley is back in 74th.
