Mickey Harte has become the latest high profile football manager to see his tenure extended, the Tyrone coach receiving his county board's support for a further three years.
Harte will now remain in charge until 2010, by which time he will have been in the job for eight years.
Tyrone endured a difficult championship campaign, securing another Ulster title before coming unstuck against Meath in the quarter-finals.
Nevertheless, having delivered All-Ireland titles in both 2003 and 2005 Harte was always likely to remain at the helm.
