What’s that? Eat more fish to hear better in older age?
A new study in the US has linked fish consumption in women with a lower risk of developing hearing loss in later years.
The study analysed data from a study of more than 65,000 woman between 1991 and 2009, particularly looking at the consumption of fish, long-chain omega fatty acids (PUFAs, which occur naturally in many types of fish) and self-reported hearing loss.
What did they find? That consuming two or more servings of fish per week was associated with a lower risk of hearing loss.
