ON Sunday, there will be a day long seminar with the author Dr Deepak Chopra at the RDS in Dublin from 10.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dr Chopra, who combines an expertise in conventional medicine with a background in Ayerveda (the ancient Indian healing science) will speak on good health and youthfulness. THE Irish School of Shiatsu is starting its next practitioner training course on March 1st. The course is part time over three years and is based in Dublin. It includes all the aspects of shiatsu technique and diagnosis and the supervised clinical practice required to set up a professional practice. CALCUTTA Rescue is a charity set up in West Bengal by Dr Jack Preger in 1979. It provides medical aid - including a leprosy clinic and a mother and child programme - as well as running two free schools for street children and a spinning and weaving training project. The work is funded by contributions from abroad (including Ireland), but the Indian Government has apparently withdrawn its permission for Calcutta Rescue to have access to these funds. "LOSS, Change and Creativity" is the title of a workshop which takes place from March 1st to 3rd. Organised by the Irish Group Analytic Society, the workshop will include a talk by Dr Rosemary Gordon, of the Society of Analytic Psychology in London, as well as experimental work in groups on responding creatively to loss. "IS ADULTERY Natural?" This is one of the vexed questions to be discussed as part of a national conference organised by the Marriage Counselling Service. Entitled "The State of Affairs", the day long conference takes place on Thursday, February 29th, and will include group discussions on whether adultery spells the end of a marriage; also a talk by Dr Jack Dominion, of One Plus One, Marriage and Partnership Research.
