ON National No Smoking Day next Wednesday there will be a lecture in the Mansion House, Dublin, at 1 p.m. on "Teenage Smoking - the Parents' Role" by Dr Anne Charlton, director of the UK Cancer Research Campaign's Education and Child Studies Research Group, Dr Luke Clancy of St James's Hospital, and Dr Mark Morgan of St Patrick's Teaching College. There will also be a one day creative workshop for transition year pupils exploring young people's attitudes to smoking tomorrow at 10.30 a.m. in Jurys Hotel, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. THE Irish Migraine Association is holding a seminar on Sunday at the Royal Dublin Hotel, O'Connell Street, Dublin from 2.30-5.30 p.m. Topics to be discussed include "Stress and Migraine" and "Successful Migraine Research". The latter subject will be addressed by Professor Philip Lamey of Queen's University, whose research indicates a high success for those suffering migraine attacks on waking when wearing a specially designed dental splint. THE Shanty Educational Project is holding its annual flag days over the next two weekends. The project is for women on lower incomes from west Tallaght.
