Consultant posts for a cross-Border dental and facial treatment service are among the health service positions on offer this week.
The HSE North West in partnership with the Western Health and Social Services Board in Northern Ireland is looking to fill two newly created consultant posts in oral and maxillofacial surgery to provide services for the northwest of Ireland. The appointments will be made at the 450-bed Altnagelvin Area Hospital in Derry and will provide services to Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim and west Cavan as well as western Northern Ireland. It is anticipated the service will grow to incorporate a team of four consultants. The positions come with a salary of €101,393-€137,197 (£69,298-£93,768).
UCD has two academic consultant posts at Vincent's University Hospital. The posts of Professor of Medicine and Therapeutics and Professor of Surgery incorporate 5.5 designated hospital sessions and 5.5 university sessions. Category one academic consultant posts, both jobs command a salary of €209,923.
St Vincent's University Hospital is also seeking a consultant radiologist. The category one post has a salary of €147,144-€163,112. It is also looking for a clinical nurse manager.
Our Lady's Hospice in Harold's Cross, Dublin is on a recruitment drive as part of a 30-bed expansion. It is seeking six nurse managers, 13.5 staff nurses, a physiotherapist, occupational therapist and a senior medical social worker.
