Which living person do you most admire and why?
My mother, Patricia Bannon. A working mom, she raised three children, and managed to be very glamorous and have a social life. I now realise how difficult that is.
What do you regard as the top three problems facing Ireland's health system?
Lack of community services and facilities. The need to implement healthy living incentives to educate people about healthy choices from an early age. Finally, the lack of cancer care facilities around the State.
Who would you invite to your dream dinner party?
George Clooney, Tom Cruise (I am so curious about scientology), nutritionist Patrick Holford, Tyra Banks and Ali Hewson.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Sitting in the sun in the south of France.
What trait do you most value in your friends?
Trust and honesty.
What is your most unhealthy habit?
Not doing enough exercise and using my work as an excuse.
What is your greatest extravagance?
I'd say my kitchen, but my husband would say my wardrobe.
How do you relax?
Shopping and having dinner with friends.
Do you use alternative/complementary medicines or therapies?
I am not using any at the moment, but I have used reflexology in the past and found it fantastic.
What is your earliest memory?
Being down in my grandparents in Fermanagh playing in the sun while the hay was being saved.
What talent would you most like to have?
To be able to sing.
What is your most treasured possession?
Photos of my family.
What other career might you have chosen?
Realistically, an accountant. Ideally, a pop star.
What books or films have inspired you?
The Diving Belland Butterflyby Jean-Dominique Bauby and John Boyne's The Boy With The Striped Pyjamas.
