Health Sector Jobs: A medical director job at the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) and a project leader for the Irish Heart Foundation's (IHF's) Sudden Cardiac Death project are among the health jobs on offer this week.

The FAI is seeking applications for the role of director of medical services. The job involves designing and delivering medical policy as well as implementing medical standards and anti-doping policies.

The IHF is looking for a project co-ordinator to implement the national report on sudden cardiac death, which was launched in February. The position will involve the development and implementation of an action plan for the introduction of the report.

The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist for the Sligo/Leitrim and west Cavan area (salary €169,007). The HSE is also looking to fill a new post of consultant surgeon with special interest in breast surgery at the Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. The postholder will work as part of the Triple Assessment Team dedicated to the Symptomatic Breast Unit in Portlaoise and will receive a salary of €169,007.

St Luke's General Hospital in Kilkenny is seeking a consultant general surgeon with a special interest in gastrointestinal surgery (salary €160,504).

It is looking for a psychologist for Carlow/Kilkenny Community Service's disability services, a psychologist for Waterford Community Services to work in the area of autism and a psychologist to work in the area of disability in Wexford. These positions come with salaries of €74,485-€87,551.

The Adelaide and Meath Hospital, Dublin is inviting applications for the position of occupational therapy manager to lead a department of 20 occupational therapists at the hospital (salary €67,438-€74,223).

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is seeking a manager for its eastern region to be based in Coolock, Dublin. The position, which involves management of 150 staff in 11 programmes throughout Dublin, commands a salary of €47,081-€61,738.

The Irish Cancer Society is seeking applications for a breast cancer information services nurse for its Action Breast Cancer project.

In the academic world, University College Dublin is seeking four lecturers in diagnostic imaging (salary €33,067-€77,538) for its school of medicine and medical science as well as two lecturers for its school of nursing, midwifery and health systems.
