Ireland’s first Alzheimer Cafe has just been launched in the Avila Centre, Bloomfield Avenue, Donnybrook, Dublin

Ireland’s first Alzheimer Cafe has just been launched in the Avila Centre, Bloomfield Avenue, Donnybrook, Dublin. Aimed at sufferers, their families and health professionals, the cafe gives people a chance to socialise and discuss medical and emotional issues in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. It is open the second Thursday of every month.

Meditation practices that help people deal with destructive emotions will be the focus of teachings by Tibetan Buddhist Lama, Ringu Tulku Rinpoche in Dublin later this week. Ringu Tulku will also give public talks at the Hilton Hotel, Kilmainham on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4.30pm Bookings on 087-2861090.
