* Parkinson’s disease – towards new therapies for protecting the brain is the theme of a free public talk tonight from 7pm-9pm at University College Cork, Western Gateway Building, Western Road, Cork city.The speakers are Dr Seán O’Sullivan, consultant neurologist at Cork University Hospital, and Dr Aideen Sullivan, senior lecturer in the Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience at UCC.

* The first exhibition featuring a range of Irish and international charities will be held in the RDS Industries Hall, Ballsbridge, Dublin tomorrow. Barnardos, Age Action Ireland, Trócaire, SVP, Fighting Blindness, Pieta House and Shine are among the charities participating.

* Who is an expert in attention deficit hyperactivity disorder? is the topic of a public lecture on Thursday at 6pm in the Boole II lecture theatre, University College Cork.

* The talk will be given by David Cohen, professor at the Stempel College of Public Health and Social Work, Florida, US and visiting professor at the Department of Psychology of Poitiers, France.

* Psoriasis sufferers will take to the catwalk at the Dare to Reveal fashion show on Thursday at Cork International Airport. Tickets €20 and all proceeds will go towards setting up psoriasis support groups throughout the State. See psoriasisireland.ie

* The Irish ME/CFS Association is hosting a free seminar for teenagers, young adults with ME and their parents at 2pm on Saturday, May 12th in the Grand Canal Hotel, Dublin 4.
