* A new resource pack aims to provide pharmacists and their clients with the most up-to-date information on the management of common skin conditions in the pharmacy setting.
A group of pharmacists has formed a partnership with the Irish Eczema Society, the Psoriasis Association of Ireland and Ichthyosis in Ireland, called the Pharmacy Dermatology Network.
Skin conditions are very common in Ireland, affecting around 25-35 per cent of the population.
The Pharmacy Dermatology Network says it hopes to see people pool their dermatology knowledge and to help people with skin conditions access specialist expertise and emerging best practice.
The network’s information pack will be distributed to pharmacists nationwide.
