Members of the Dáil and Senate will take part in a singing workshop today at 1pm as part of National Choral Singing Week. A joint initiative of the Association of Irish Choirs (aoic.ie) and Mental Health Ireland (mentalhealthireland.ie), there are over 100 events planned for the week which continues until Sunday.

Pancreatic cancer and other forms of neuroendocrine tumours will be discussed at a major medical information meeting at University College Cork on Saturday. Among the speakers will be RTÉ Northern Ireland editor Tommie Gorman, who was diagnosed with an advanced carcinoid tumour in the late 1990s. Bootcamp Ireland is offering free trial classes tomorrow at 6.15pm and 7.15pm at the RDS in Ballsbridge, Dublin and at 6pm and 7pm (Bootcamp Lite) at the Marino Institute of Education, Griffith Avenue, Dublin.
