- The largest scientific meeting on ageing to be held in Ireland will take place this month at the Convention Centre Dublin. The organisers are inviting 300 members of the public, in particular older Irish people, to join the meeting on September 29th, and share in the insights of guest speakers, including Mary Robinson and Seamus Heaney. Admission is by pre-registration only, with a maximum of two tickets per applicant. - How best to incorporate omega 3 and omega 6 into the diet is the theme of a public talk by nutritionist Udo Erasmus, in the Stillorgan Park Hotel on Monday, September 20th at 7pm. Admission €5.
- Traditional Chinese medicine practitioner Deirdre Courtney will give a public talk on how to understand and rebalance the body and mind through oriental medicine next Tuesday at 7pm in the College of Naturopathic Medicine, Griffith College, South Circular Road, Dublin, 01-2353094.
