LIFESTYLE Q&A:Tadhg Enright, Sky News business presenter
Do you think you have a healthy lifestyle?
I try my best. I go to the gym a few times a week and I try to fit in some running. But I’m a bit of a klutz. Last summer I fractured a metatarsal and I keep on spraining ankles when I’m running but I just love running so much, I keep doing it.
How often do you exercise?
Sometimes work or social things get in the way, but I try to do something every day – either go to the gym or go for a run, and I’ve just stared Pilates.
Do you get your five a day?
Whenever somebody tells me something is good for me, I suddenly get into it. A while ago it was spinach, and I love to get all my pulses in and I love fruit. I’ve just had my breakfast – Greek yogurt with blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. I always have apples and bananas in my bag at work as well.
Do you worry?
Probably less than I used to. I’ve taught myself that you end up in more of a mess by worrying and you might as well just relax and presume that everything will come right in the end.
When I started doing this job, I’d be quite nervous about going on live but after a while, I relaxed into it. I never think about the fact that people are watching, I only ever think about the fact that my bosses are watching.
What do you do to relax?
I find running is great for relaxing. It really centres the mind and gives you head space.
I was lazy for a long time with reading because I have to read so much for work and sometimes the last thing you want to do at the end of the day is pick up a book and read. But I’m trying to correct that.
What’s your unhealthiest habit?
Chocolate. I struggle to moderate, it’s either all or nothing. I’m either binging or abstaining completely.
