The HSE, the State's largest public sector purchaser, has invited medical suppliers to pitch for work next week.
The HSE spends up to €3 billion per year on various goods, services and works.
The HSE will be taking part in the InterTradeIreland Network+Getwork programme run by the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Dublin, on Thursday, December 14th.
The HSE has pre-selected companies from all the applicants on the basis of being the most likely to provide the products and services required. These 50 companies will then have a 15-minute one-to-one meeting with relevant HSE senior procurement personnel at the event in the Alexander Hotel.
The companies include medical equipment suppliers; renal dialysis, dental and opthalmic suppliers; drugs and medicine suppliers as well as a range of services suppliers ranging from medical accounting and education to transport services.
