No, it's not a question about love but about how the organs of our bodies interact to keep us healthy or to give us early signs of illness. It's the theme of a public talk by Prof Rose Anne Kenny, professor of geriatric medicine at Trinity College Dublin tomorrow at 7pm at 6 Kildare St, Dublin 2.

The Irish breast cancer campaigning organisation, Europa Donna Ireland, is holding a public information meeting on Saturday at 1.30pm in Buswells Hotel, Molesworth St, Dublin 2.

Dr Áilis Ní Riain from the Irish College of General Practitioners will speak about what happens in practice and what ideally should happen to patients following treatment of breast cancer.

Seminar on disability support

The best ways of supporting young children with intellectual disabilities will be looked at in a series of half-day seminars in Mullingar and Dublin early next month.

Led by Ann Haig Wheeler, an early intervention specialist and mother of a child with Down syndrome, the seminars will focus on children up to three years old and those between three and six, in two separate sessions.

Two websites for healthy living

Two new websites which aim to help people live more healthily were launched yesterday.

The first, which is found at www.giveupsmoking.ie, is a new smoking cessation website set up by the Health Service Executive, and www.changeforlife.ie is a healthy eating and healthy lifestyle interactive site, promoted by dietitian Paula Mee.
