COMPLEMENTARY OPEN DAY: The Novara Centre, 6 Carlton Terrace, Novara Avenue, Bray, Co Wicklow is hosting an open day on Saturday from 11am-3pm.
This new multidisciplinary health centre offers a range of complementary therapies (eg homeopathy, cranio-sacral therapy, massage and reflexology) as well as psychotherapy and couple counselling.
One of the centre's founding principles is that healing occurs in a relationship and depends as much on finding the right healthcare practitioner as the treatment itself.

PANIC ATTACK WORKSHOP: Psychotherapist and author of When Panic Attacks (Newleaf ) Dr Áine Tubridy will lead a workshop on panic attacks in the Institute of Psychosocial Medicine, 2 Eden Park, Dún Laoghaire, Co Dublin on Saturday from 10am-5pm.
She will speak about what personal dilemmas cause panic and anxiety, what is happening medically during an attack and how to control and eliminate attacks through breathing techniques, thought management, energy balancing and relaxation exercises.

ART COMPETITION: There is increasing evidence that art therapy can help people with cancer by providing an emotional outlet for fears and frustrations.
The Lilly Oncology on Canvas is an international art competition and exhibition open to people diagnosed with cancer, their families, friends, supporters and healthcare professionals.

MEN AND NUTRITION: Kelkin has announced the second class in the 2006 nutritional class series, Men's Health. The class is again designed and presented by consultant nutritionist to Kelkin, Aveen Bannon, and will cover topics such as heart health, high blood pressure and prostate cancer as well as focusing on fitness and sport.
