Conference on mental health in Co KerryThis year's Mental Health Ireland conference in Killarney, Friday to Sunday, aims to harness the expertise of those who have experienced mental health problems.
Dr Rachel Perkins, clinical psychologist at St George's Mental Health NHS Trust in Britain, will speak about how those who've had mental health problems have improved the quality of mental health services there.

Exploring Mothers conference
Exploring Mothers is the theme of a conference in University College Cork on Saturday. Organised by the Association for Research on Mothering - Ireland (armi.ie), the conference will look at how women combine motherhood and employment.

Seventy-five per cent of assistive technology is abandoned due to lack of training. Now a new online service aims to improve access to education, training and networking by giving people with disabilities opportunities to borrow and try out electronic assistive technology devices.
