• Food's Role:Food for Life is the theme of a public forum tonight at 7.30pm in the Brookfield Health Science Complex, University College Cork, Cork city.
In the fight against depression and stress, Dr Linda Giblin will look at how obesity, compounded by a sedentary lifestyle, is primarily diet-induced. Prof Paul Ross will look at how to keep healthy people healthy and Dr Sinead Corr will talk about probiotics. The forum is organised by the Alimentary Pharmabiotic Centre at UCC. Admission is free. • Anger Management:Managing anger in yourself and others is the theme of a one-day workshop on February 10th by the American clairvoyant, healer and spiritual teacher Walter Makichen.
In the workshop, Makichen will examine how fear can fuel anger and how anger can be destructive, protective or a force for positive change.

• Free Nutrition Class:Was losing weight one of your new year's resolutions? Have you given up on it already? A free nutrition class tomorrow at 6.30pm in the Hilton Hotel, Charlemont Place, Dublin will encourage people to be realistic about their nutritional goals for 2007. The talk will be given by Aveen Bannon, dietitian and nutritional consultant with Kelkin foods.
• Dyspraxia Support: Dyspraxia (formerly known as clumsy child syndrome) is a condition that reduces a child's ability to complete tasks such as tying shoe laces and riding a bicycle.
The condition has an impact on the child's fine and gross motor skills and can also lead to behavioural problems. Many parents of children with dyspraxia find great support from other parents.
