ANXIETY DISORDERS:An information evening for parents and carers of teenagers who suffer from anxiety disorders will take place in the Lucena Clinic, Orwell Road, Rathgar, Dublin next Tuesday at 7pm.
The talk will be given by Dr Robert Friedberg, who will give particular attention to how families can help teenagers cope with the pressures of examinations.

PRESCRIBING POWERS:Nurse-prescribing has freed up time for doctors and nurses, facilitated improvements in services and reduced patients' waiting time. These were the conclusions of research carried out by the National Prescribing Centre in Britain.
Nurses in Ireland will be given the authority to prescribe drugs later this year. Under the regulations, individual nurse prescribers will be required to be employed by a health service provider and may prescribe only the drugs relevant to the setting in which they are employed.
PSORIASIS INFORMATION:A psoriasis information evening, in conjunction with the Psoriasis Association of Ireland (PAI), will take place tonight, Tuesday, in the Red Cow Inn at 7.30pm. Admission is free.
