Medical law: Clinical Practice and the Law by Dr Simon Mills will be of interest to anyone with an interest in medicine and the law.

Mental health lectures

St John of God Hospital, Stillorgan, in partnership with the Alliance for Mental Health, is running a series of public lectures which starts tomorrow and continues every Tuesday until March 11th. Lectures will be given by leading experts in mental health and will include topics on eating disorders, alcohol and drug use in young people, depression and a new treatment for hyperactive children.

Starting at 8 p.m. in the Main Hall, the first session will be a discussion chaired by John Bowman.

Mini Med School: The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) Mini Med School is due to start today. The Mini Med School is a series of lectures designed for members of the public who are interested in learning more about medicine and health.

The course will run over a nine-week period and cover a range of issues including women's health, stress, family medicine, cancer, fertility, sports injuries, heart disease, psychiatry and surgical training.
