Study on bereaved grandparents
Grandparents are often forgotten grievers following the death of a child. Because they are older, it is often assumed that they can cope yet they are often isolated and in need of support.
Researchers at St Angela’s College in Sligo will explore grandparents’ experience of losing a grandchild. If you’d like to hear more or contribute to this study, contact Tom (087 121 0602) or Ursula (087 790 6666). The study has been ethically approved by the Research and Education Foundation of Sligo General Hospital.

Running from August 17-21st, the workshops will give 8-12 year olds the chance to make healing potions, magical creams and herbal syrups. There will also be storytelling, sprouting seeds, growing and tasting fruit. Cost €175. Details on 01-280 6107.
