Rehabilitation equipment goes on show

A showcase of rehabilitation assistive equipment, hoists, beds, bathroom and kitchen adaptations, wheelchairs, specialist seating and sensory items will be on exhibition on Thursday (11am-5pm) and Friday (9am-12.30pm) in the Lyrath Estate, Kilkenny. Held during the Association of Occupational Therapists annual conference, the exhibition is open to the public and admission is free.

Exploring mothers' experiences

The Association for Research on Mothering in Ireland is seeking submissions from students, activists, scholars, artists and others in advance of its conference on May 24th in University College Cork.

The conference will explore past and present experiences and practices of motherhood. Abstracts of 200 words and short biographies should be sent to m.leane@ucc.ie by April 28th. The keynote address at the conference will be given by Dr Tina Miller, author of Making Sense of Motherhood: A Narrative Approach(Cambridge University Press).
