SUICIDE SEMINAR:Rural social change and the growing incidence of suicide is the theme of a public seminar by sociologist and parish priest, Dr Harry Bohan today at 2pm at the Teagasc Mellow's campus in Athenry, Co Galway.

The seminar has been organised due to growing concern about the number of men taking their own lives in rural areas. The Teagasc Rural Economy Research Centre in Galway is also funding a three-year study into rural suicides which will look at changes in farming and the relationship between road crashes and suicide.
