Much as we enjoyed Jennifer Keegan's documentary about the Forty Foot Real Men don't wear Togs shown on RTE 1 last week, we worried about all those men and women shown cheerily exposing so much of themselves to the sun. Has no one told them - and you - about melanoma, which is increasing with scary rapidity? On Wednesday, the Irish Cancer Society launches its Sun Smart campaign but melanoma can easily be avoided simply by shunning the sun. Please take our advice: sun tans will be fashionable when cancer becomes so. Until then, avoid both.
