Health Sector Jobs: Three chief nurse officer (grade I) positions in the Irish Prison Service are among the range of health jobs on offer this week.

Applicants must have at least five years' post-registration experience, three of which should have been in a management grade. The closing date for these posts is November 23rd.

St Luke's Hospital in Dublin has an opening in the physics department for two basic grade dosimetrists (permanent posts), salary scale is €34,651-€52,781.

Also available this week are a number of openings at the Beacon Hospital in Dublin. The 183-bed private hospital has jobs for house doctors with at least a year's hospital experience.

St Joseph's Residences for Deaf Boys, Navan Road, Dublin, has a vacancy for a social care worker with a diploma in childcare. Proficiency in sign language would be an advantage, but is not essential.

St Frances Hospice has a number of openings including a senior medical social worker post.

At St Vincent's University Hospital in Dublin there is a vacancy for a clinical nurse manager (II) in the emergency department. St Vincent's also has openings for permanent grade IV officers - salary scale €27,017-€41,274. These are part-time positions in the patient services department and all require well-developed typing skills with high speed and accuracy.

The Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital, Adelaide Road, Dublin, is seeking a human resource manager (grade VII). The salary scale for this post is €45,313-€59,419.

Also in Dublin, the Mater hospital is looking for a course co-ordinator in postgraduate medical education (grade IV). This is a one-year contract.

Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin, has several vacancies, all beginning in January 2007. These include vacancies for a registrar in emergency medicine, a rheumatology registrar, a general paediatric registrar, a neonatology registrar and a haematology registrar.

The Blackrock Clinic in Dublin is seeking radiographers and nuclear medicine technologists for a multidisciplinary team.
