Healing practices and therapies on the more esoteric side of complementary medicine dominate this year's Mind, Body, Spirit and Healing Arts Festival at the RDS, Ballsbridge, Dublin from Friday to Sunday next, writes Sylvia Thompson.
So, for instance, you can learn how to apply a Celtic belief system to contemporary life with Scotsman Donald McKinney or become adept in meditation with contemplative monk Seamus Byrne.
You can "unfold your golden wings" with spiritual healer and author Robert Marsh, find out if you really do have a guardian angel with Amon-Ra Antares or discover the healing properties of crystals with Anthony Jackson.
This annual weekend of free lectures, demonstrations, performances and workshops attracts a mix bag of soul searchers, the worried well and those already committed to alternative lifestyles. The more "conventional" alternative therapies such as herbal medicine, massage, aromatherapy and yoga will also be represented.
The Mind, Body, Spirit and Healing Arts Festival in the RDS, Ballsbridge, Dublin runs from 11a.m.-9p.m. on Friday and from 11a.m.-7p.m on Saturday and Sunday. Admission €8.
