St Vincent's Private Hospital in Dublin has a number of vacancies. They include a locum post for a clinical nurse specialist in diabetes (CNMII grade) to cover maternity leave from October 1st until approximately April 2008.

There are also vacancies for a human resources executive (grade VI), a receptionist and a cardiac catheterisation technician.

The Waterford Hospice Movement Ltd is looking for a clinical nurse manager to lead the Waterford Palliative Home Care Team.

This role is a CNMIII post carrying a salary scale of €55,139-€62,502. The closing date for applications is October 8th and interviews will be held in the week beginning October 22nd.

Also in Waterford, a matron is required for a nursing home in Porlaw. The successful candidate will have at least five years' post-registration experience in elderly care and must be registered with An Bord Altranais, preferably with a certificate in gerontology.

The Galway Clinic is expanding and has a range of vacancies. These include a consultant neurologist post, a consultant general surgeon, a consultant gynaecologist and a senior medical scientist in blood transfusion and haematology (permanent and full-time).

There are also vacancies for theatre nurses (full-time and permanent), for a radiotherapist, a senior pharmacist (full-time, permanent) and for a cardiac technician.

St Michael's Hospital in Dún Laoghaire has three positions for SHOs in the Department of Medicine (two six-month posts and a one-year rotation post with six months at Cavan General and six months at St Michael's).

St Michael's also has a vacancy for an SHO in orthopaedics (six months) in the Department of Surgery.

Suzanne House in Tallaght, part of the St John of God service, has a full-time role for a nurse manager (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm).

The Mercy University Hospital in Cork has a number of openings, including a position for a registrar in general medicine (six months), an SHO in paediatrics (six months) and a locum SHO in medicine (three months).

In Limerick, St John's Hospital has a six-month contract for an SHO in medicine from January 1st 2008. There is also six-month contract for an SHO in surgery from the same date.

Full registration with the Irish Medical Council is required for the latter post.
