Main cause of stress: Things outside my control stress me, such as when I'm let down by fabric suppliers, production people or machinists.
Definitely the most stressful time in my life was when I did the inauguration outfit for the President, Mrs McAleese. They had asked a number of designers to submit ideas beforehand, but once they picked my design, I just had one week to source the fabric and make it up. We couldn't get the fabric in Ireland - it had to be made up specially in Germany, and we had so little time.
Another stressful time was when my collection didn't turn up for a show in the Savoy in London. The courier company swore it delivered it.
