An outbreak of swine flu has been confirmed at a second Cork Hospital.
A spokeswoman at Mercy University Hospital said visitor restrictions were in place after a single patient was diagnosed with the virus.
The hospital said each patient will now be allowed to receive just one visitor a day.
About a week ago Cork University Hospital confirmed case of the H1N1 flu virus and said a number of other patients were displaying symptoms associated with the illness.

A consultant microbiologist at the hospital said the flu vaccine would be enough to protect people against the virus.
