Would you know what to do if someone nearby had a medical emergency?
According to the British Heart Foundation (BHF), fear about performing CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) is increasing the risk of death from cardiac arrest. Research funded by BHF and carried out by Warwick University showed that only four in 10 people witnessing a cardiac arrest performed CPR.
The BHF said this statistic is "dismal" and launched a campaign called "Mission: CPR".
