Two senior-level corporate management positions in the Health Service Executive (HSE) and a top government medical job in Northern Ireland are among health sector jobs on offer this week.

The Northern Ireland Civil Service is looking for a chief medical officer to be based in Belfast.

As the leading medical health professional in Northern Ireland, the post holder will be required to develop and implement policies to improve health and wellbeing as well as reduce health inequalities.

The appointee will also be required to provide professional and medical advice to the government of Northern Ireland.

The position comes with a salary of up to €174,361.

Meanwhile, the HSE is seeking applications for two key corporate management positions - national director of procurement and national director of estates.

Both positions command salaries of €132,972.

The Health Service Executive, Southern Area is looking for a senior clinical psychologist for its south Lee adult mental health services, which serves a population of around 160,000.

The position has a salary scale of €74,485-€87,551.

The Children's University Hospital at Temple Street is seeking applications for a number of positions including pain nurse specialists, senior speech and language therapist and a senior medical scientist for the Irish meningococcal and meningitis reference laboratory.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) is looking for a chief specialist in toxicology to provide expert advice to the FSAI, the food industry and the Government.

The position comes with a salary scale of €85,723-€90,011.

In the academic sector, University of Limerick's newly formed School of Health Science is seeking applications for the chair of nursing and midwifery as well as senior lecturer in nursing studies at its department of nursing and midwifery.

Salary scales at the university are €103,344-€132,972 for a professor and €68,199-€89,892 for a senior lecturer.

In the private sector, Blackrock Clinic is looking for a medical scientist for its microbiology department as well as a senior phlebotomist.

The Irish Cancer Society is looking for a senior health promotion officer to develop and co-ordinate a range of projects related to men's health promotion and cancer detection and prevention.

Finally, the Royal College of Surgeon's department of obstetrics and gynaecology is seeking a research project manager to assist in a large-scale clinical research trial at eight different clinical locations.
