Sometimes it can be hard to get motivated to do a workout. Indeed, your brain might be the part showing the most activity as you drum up excuses not to go training.
So how about adding in a bit of external motivation and helping a charity to boot? Plenty of good causes need volunteers to take part in events and earn sponsorship to help them raise funds. Maybe you could get in training to run or walk a mini-marathon? Or take part in a sponsored cycle for a favourite charity? The ‘deadline‘ of a race and the knowledge that people are investing in your efforts could be what it takes to keep you going - and others will benefit too.
