Heineken said the European Commission held an additional inquiry at its head office this morning in connection with an investigation into alleged violation of competition rules by Heineken and Carlsberg in the Dutch and Danish markets.

Heineken first received objections from the EU in March and replied in May.

Heineken said it is cooperating with the investigation and will refrain from further comment pending the proceedings.

In March the company dismissed the claims, saying it does not agree with the Commission.
