Racing: Henrythenavigator was crowned undisputed champion three-year-old miler after winning the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Trained by Aidan O'Brien and ridden by Johnny Murtagh, the Kingmambo colt preserved his unbeaten record this term with another top-notch performance.
O'Brien's star had too many guns for runner-up Raven's Pass, who finished well but was no match for the 4-7 favourite. The Henry Cecil-trained Twice Over was third.
In addition to the St James's Palace, Henrythenavigator has this season won the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket and the Irish equivalent at the Curragh.
Earlier, the O'Brien-trained Haradasun (5-1) got Royal Ascot off to a pulsating start by winning the Queen Anne Stakes.
Murtagh's mount edged out France's Darjina (5-1) by a nose after a gutsy run on the near-side rail, leaving Irish favourite Finsceal Beo (9-2) half a length behind in third.
Although Haradasun was a worthy winner, the Group One was something of a muddling encounter - with Cesare the most noteworthy victim.
Jamie Spencer's mount encountered severe traffic problems inside the final furlong and finished fourth.
Murtagh skilfully avoided any discernible scrimmaging, however, and found a neat pitch on the rail once stablemate Honoured Guest tacked across from stall nine.
Haradasun, sixth in the Lockinge on his last start, stuck to his guns well inside the last and was a head to the good of Darjina at the line.
Of Finsceal Beo, Derby-winning trainer Jim Bolger said: "She's run a terrific race and there are no excuses.
"We shall probably go back to 10 furlongs now and an option is the Pretty Polly but she could also run in the Falmouth and the Nassau, with Longchamp after that. You'd have to be pleased with how she's run."
