Llangennech, Wales - An agoraphobic bride was married in her own home yesterday after she refused to leave it to take part in a church ceremony.
Ms Karen Burns (42) wed Mr Rob Diment (39) in the cramped living room of their terraced home in this south Wales village, surrounded by 25 friends, relatives and a large gathering of journalists.
Ms Burns was granted permission to be married at home after obtaining a medical certificate for her illness. Her new husband said: "As far as the honeymoon is concerned we'll be happy enough staying here with a bottle of wine and some romantic videos."
